August 12, 2004- Farm life can be incredibly dynamic. As I look out the window right now, I can see 26 Port-o-Pots
(13 trailers of 2) between the scales and the field. The Pot-Sucker guy is here cleaning them even now. He has this vacuum
hose he takes into each with him. His truck has got stuck once already... Mother had to pull it out with the pick-up. He almost
got it stuck again, as he had parked it in a mud puddle. Yesterday, I took pictures of Melvis on, in and around these lovely
blue restrooms. Father used the backhoe bucket to get Melvis on top of one for an extra-neat shot. As I was taking these truley
original photos, I observed that one of the water (non-potable, written in both English and Spanish) was leaking. This in
addition to the tree trucks that sit out there from 5pm each night to 8am each morning. It's really becoming congested out
there... I mean, there's 26 restrooms, 8 sizable cherry-picker trucks, an assortment of vans (for the employees who use the
trucks) and oh, the Pot-Sucker guy just left. I am left wondering what questions he had to answer on his resume` to get that
job- that and how much they pay him per hour... {And that concludes Kelsey's Narrative of today}
